OTHER LINKS ON SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT:
USS-900 Secure Faxing:
The USS-900 easily secures voice, fax, and data communication in a conventional desktop environment using
ordinary analog telephone lines. Just connect the USS-900 in series with your fax and put it in automatic mode. Non-secure faxes will be
received as usual, but
faxes sent from another USS-900 equipped fax will automatically go into secure mode, and a "SECURED FAX" stamp will appear on all
pages received in secure mode.
USS-900 Secure Voice:
Secure voice communications couldn't be easier.
With a standard phone connected to the USS-900, simply call another USS-900 equipped phone. To go into secure mode, just press the red
button. A red indicator light will go solid when secure communications are established.
USS-900 Secure Data:
Secure Voice and Data (SVD) can be transmitted during the same secure call. Connect the RS-232 serial port of the USS-900 to the serial port of
your computer.
Secure point-to-point file transfer is facilitated by special software (Windows only).
Secure voice communication can resume after files are transferred.
The USS-900 runs at speeds of 9600 to 33,600 bps. A narrowband varient, the USS-900 NB, runs at speeds of 2400 to 9600 bps.
Mobile Secure Fax:
Outfitter offers complete hardcased kits including satellite or GSM cellular modems, encryption equipment, and
air traffic approved batteries. Please call for more information.
DCS-1400/1200 Secure Voice:
The DCS-1200 and DCS-1400 series equipment is specifically designed for field use with
data-capable wireless phones including the Globalstar GSP-1600, Iridium 9505, and many GSM cellular phones.
Data speeds between 2400 and 9600 bps are required. A single button press converts a call into
secure mode. Secure status is confirmed by a red LED indicator. Secure communications have
never been easier! The DCS-1400 will run up to 6 hours on its internal batteries.
DCS-1200 Secure Data:
The DCS-1200 supports secure Voice and Data (SVD) during the same secure call. Connect the RS-232 serial port of the DCS-1200 to the serial
port of your computer.
Secure point-to-point file transfer is facilitated by special software (requires Windows).
Secure voice communication can resume after files are transferred.
If your secure communications needs only involve landline "analog" phones, then
you will only need the USS-900. One unit is needed at each secure work station.
If you have mobile workers needing to communicate securely back to a fixed site, you should equip the fixed
site with a USS-900 NB (narrow bandwidth) and the mobile workers with DCS series equipment and data capable wireless phones. All the
phones equipped with
DCS-1200, DCS-1400, and USS-900 NB devices will be able to intercommunicate.*
